Our children today are busy with school and extracurricular activities. Parents are also busy juggling work, school runs picking up and dropping off their children. As much as we want to sit down for dinner together every night, it is sometimes simply impossible. This, unfortunately, doesn’t give parents the opportunity to teach their loved ones proper table manners and other skills. I work together with parents to help their children master basic social skills. These include:
Understanding basic manners
Introductions, handshakes and eye contact
Conversation skills
Hosting friends
How to write thank-you notes
Table manners and dining skills
Teens are expected to behave in a certain manner when they are out with friends or at school. They find it frustrating when their behaviour is frowned upon, as they go about in their day–to-day dealings with the outside world. I help teens prepare for social expectations and gain confidence within themselves knowing the importance of putting the best foot forward. Teen lessons include:
Understanding the importance of manners
Introductions and handshakes
Body language Cell phone use→ texting and social media
Conversation skills
Table setting
Table manners and dining etiquette
Adults might find it frustrating when they lack the social skills they desire to pass on to their children. In a non-judgemental & fun class, we go through the basics of social etiquette, with everyone leaving the class more confident than when they came in. Adult classes include:
Introductions & handshakes
Appropriate attire
Positive verbal and non-verbal communication
Conversation skills
Mingling
Cell phone use
Table manners and dining etiquette

Cross-cultural classes help sift through the maze of understanding a new culture. The classes offer participants:
Acceptable forms of communication (handshake, air or cheek kiss, eye contact, physical touch)
Topics of discussion
Proper use of language
Dining etiquette
How to be a good guest
